Two specifications saying “4000 cycles” can describe different endpoints. For these models, EcoFlow states at least 80% capacity after 4000 cycles while Jackery states at least 70%. The percentage changes the comparison. This documentary guide for buyers in Spain uses the EU DELTA 3 Plus EF-DL-H10-4 and Explorer 1000 v2 JE-1000D; it does not measure ageing. English does not verify a US version. 1 2

Read cycle count with retained capacity

Exact model Initial nominal capacity Manual’s declaration Missing for a full comparison
DELTA 3 Plus EU 1024 Wh 80% or more after 4000 cycles 1 A test protocol equivalent to the other brand’s
Explorer 1000 v2 JE-1000D 1070 Wh 4000 cycles to 70% or more 2 A test protocol equivalent to the other brand’s

We do not replace Jackery’s 70% with the 80% seen in other LFP specifications. Nor do we claim both batteries reach that endpoint after the same time or usage. An equivalent comparison would need temperature, depth of discharge, charging/discharging power, cycle-end criteria and capacity-measurement method. The cited tables do not provide a common protocol here. 1 2

Plugging a device in once does not establish a comparable cycle. As conceptual arithmetic, two 50% discharges add up to 100% of a reference capacity; that does not verify how these stations count cycles or reproduce either manufacturer’s test.

What the percentages change in arithmetic

Applying each endpoint to nominal capacity gives 1024 × 0.80 = 819.2 Wh and 1070 × 0.70 = 749 Wh. These illustrate the declared percentages. They are not measurements after 4000 cycles, usable AC energy or guaranteed appliance runtime.

We therefore do not divide 4000 by 365 to promise years of service. That assumes an identical full test cycle every day without resolving the conditions or elapsed time. A cycle count is neither an expiry date nor a free-replacement guarantee.

Storage and charging can have different temperatures

Manual field DELTA 3 Plus EU 1 Explorer 1000 v2 JE-1000D 2
Charging temperature 0 to 45 °C 0 to 45 °C
Discharging temperature −10 to 45 °C −10 to 45 °C
Storage temperature −10 to 45 °C; optimum 20 to 30 °C Numerical storage range not verified here
Physical storage Dry, ventilated location; away from heat and liquids Dry, ventilated location; no excessive heat or overheated vehicle

A permitted storage or discharge temperature does not authorize charging at that temperature. In particular, the −10 °C row does not change these manuals’ 0 °C minimum charging temperature. Check the equipment and conditions before using it. 1 2

Keep maintenance model-specific

EcoFlow’s manual gives a long-term-storage procedure every three months: discharge to its indicated 0% level and recharge to 60%. It also includes a commercial-warranty condition about periods exceeding six months without charging or discharging. Read the complete current version; do not transfer those numbers to every battery. 1

Jackery warns that leaving the unit depleted for three to six months may impair performance or prevent recharging. Its warranty section includes a full-charge condition within seven days of purchase and at least once every six months afterwards. EcoFlow’s procedure does not replace it. Commercial terms also depend on the purchase and seller; the purpose here is identifying which instructions to check, not interpreting your rights. 2

Before choosing, record where you will keep the device, whether you can follow its maintenance schedule and what documentation you must retain. For occasional use, that practical fit can matter more than selecting on cycle count alone.

Identify the package and the energy requirement

The offer identified as EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus 1024 Wh + 220 W solar panel, ASIN B0DPQ9ZJ38, is a bundle; 220 W does not add battery capacity. EU manual figures describe the model without verifying the advertised SKU’s plug or voltage. The load budget tool explores energy requirements without predicting battery ageing.
